Construction site falls account for one of every three construction related fatalities. According to 2007 data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were at least 442 construction worker deaths during 2007 as a result of falls. Falls may involve workers from every trade and occur in a wide variety of circumstances. The severity of fall injuries is not necessarily related to the distance of the fall.
